Q
Some people seem to be so much luckier than others, and some people seem to be so down on their luck. Is luck something that comes from our inner self or is it something that is purely random? Are people really born with or without luck?
Vancouver, BC
A Luck is much more than random events happening to us. You're absolutely correct. Some people seem to be so much luckier than others, but why? Let's look at each individual - what are the beliefs, thoughts and attitudes of those who consistently get lucky breaks? Similarly, what are the beliefs, thoughts and attitudes of those that seem to be down on their luck? If you look closely you'll discover that the power and energy of positive thoughts create lucky breaks. If you're down on your "luck," look within for the cause. How are you thinking? What are your beliefs? The fundamental truth is we create our own reality with our thoughts and beliefs.
Q
I read Mr. Kehoe's book until I got to the part where he described holograms. He doesn't understand what a hologram is. If he doesn't understand that, what else doesn't he understand?
Somerset, NJ
A The whole concept of our life being holographic and reality being multidimensional I find fascinating. That we live in a holographic universe with numerous possible realities existing at every point of time is indeed a concept difficult to comprehend, for in many ways it defies our senses. But reality is more mysterious than our understanding of it. In Mind Power Into the 21st Century I've attempted to give a simplistic explanation of how it works. Obviously you disagree. What do you disagree with? Give me a better explanation and if it's written simply, easily understood and better explained than I have done, I'll post it on the site in the next month or two.
Q
For some reason I always seem to sabotage myself once I get started on something. I have tried many different approaches but always seem to blow it in the end. Even when I visualize my ideal outcome, somewhere I seem to sabotage myself.
Toronto, ON
A There could be several reasons for this. Firstly, if you have contradictory values and beliefs about what you are trying to achieve you will have great difficulty achieving it. For example, if you want to be abundantly wealthy but believe that people with money are greedy and that you'll have to go against your values in order to be wealthy, then you have a real contradiction within. Look closely to see if your goals and values and beliefs are all in harmony. Secondly: Is the belief, "I always seem to sabotage myself," working within you? Has it taken root? Do you find yourself saying this to yourself like an affirmation? This could be a major cause of your problem. Thirdly: With many goals, before you reach fulfillment you will go through stages of frustration, failure and disappointment. Don't give up too soon. Don't let temporary setbacks discourage you. See if one or more of these reasons is the cause of your sabotage.
Q
Are long-held negative beliefs powerful enough to stop mind powers from working?
Perth, Australia
A The beliefs you have within influence the way you see the world and also attract the conditions you experience. So long-held negative beliefs most certainly will hinder mind powers working for you. It's like taking two steps ahead and three back. Read the chapter on Beliefs and Imprinting in Mind Power Into the 21st Century. Work on changing your negative beliefs. Whether negative beliefs are recently formed or long held, they can be changed by persistently practicing the techniques in the book.
Q
How can mind power help me through my confusion on selecting the right path for my life?
New York, USA
A Your subconscious mind knows and understands the paths available to you and which destinies are most suitable for you. Notice I use the plural paths and destinies. There is no single and perfect path. There are many that are suitable for you and many that are unsuitable. Often when we try and figure this out logically we only get confused. But your subconscious knows, so go to it for the answer. Trust your instincts and hunches. You can begin to program your subconscious to bring answers to you. Start affirming to yourself, "I know the right path for my life." This will soon get the subconscious working for you.
Q
Are there any guarantees to following this program on a consistent basis?
Cape Town, South Africa
A I have personally trained over 100,000 people in this system over the last 20 years. I have never once met anyone who didn't get something from it. Sometimes the benefit may be small, but there's always change and improvement. And most people get excellent results. Obviously there are many factors determining how much success you will achieve. Your dedication to doing the exercises, your internal beliefs, how well you understand the system, your attitudes, your persistence, etc. But you most definitely will see results. Often the hardest part is starting. Get started and watch what happens.
Q
If we are able to create a perfect world for ourselves, how are we not able to cure HIV/AIDS and if so how will it be done?
Missouri, USA
A Who says we can create a perfect world? I have never said that. Perfect is an illusion. Using Mind Powers you can direct your life and achieve your goals, but your life will never be perfect. Regarding the cure for HIV/AIDS, I believe it is coming. Remarkable progress is being made and a great number of talented people are working very hard on the problem. I think we'll see a cure sooner rather than later.
Q
Since being laid off last year I have been freelancing to support myself and have been working on a personal project that I would eventually like to pursue full time. However, I need to keep working and am tired of freelancing. I have a specific job I would like at any one of four places and feel I have the qualifications. During visualizations should I focus on one of the four places where there may be an immediate opportunity? Should I see myself actually doing the job I want? Or should I picture myself going through the interview process and getting the job? Also, should I visualize my more long-term project coming to fruition simultaneously, or should I have a separate visualization for it?
New York, NY
A Firstly keep your long-term project and your desired full-time job as separate visualizations. Since the long-term project will come later than your full-time job, I would suggest you spend time working on the full-time job. You can vary your visualizations but keep them on the theme of the full-time job. See yourself having the job, doing it, being good at it, feeling fulfilled by it. Make it real; lose yourself in it. Keep it generic enough that it could be any one of the four places. Also start an acknowledging list on why you are perfect for this position, thereby building up your confidence and success vibration. When you get the interview, switch your visualization to having a great interview. I wish you every success, and stay in touch.
