Monthly Mind Power Questions & Answers

December 2001

Q Over six months ago, I started using Mind Power to find my ideal partner in life. Fortunately I can now say two months ago I met him (he has nearly all the characteristics and physical qualities I wanted), and we are now seeing one another regularly. My question is - how do I ensure that our relationship grows and will eventually lead to marriage? Of late I have used Mind Power again, visualising us married with children. Is this the best thing to do?

New Zealand

A Congratulations on using your Mind Power to find your ideal partner. I receive many questions about this and I always assure my readers that yes, it does work. This letter will further add credibility to our ability to attract the people we want in our life. I like also that you started the exercises six months ago and met your partner two months ago. That's four months readers! How many people give up after just a few weeks?

Now to your question.

Your relationship will lead to marriage as it grows and matures. You don't need to focus on "being married," as it could be premature after only a couple of months. Using the mind power techniques, focus on having great times together and being thoughtful and romantic with each other. Acknowledge your partner's strengths. Acknowledge your own. Have fun and enjoy one another. Work at making it a great relationship and the marriage part is sure to follow.

I'm very happy for you.

Q I want to use this opportunity to thank you for the book Mind Power into the 21st Century. I have been a worrier, specifically about the new project I am in the process of starting in my country for rural upliftment, as well as my own financial position. Now that I have read your book and I am doing the exercises on a daily basis, I know that we will be a great success. Previously I relied on other people to make it happen, and I only
worried. Now I have taken control and am using the power of my mind to assist me. I am turning all negative thoughts into positive thoughts, and it is working. Thank you very much.

A Thanks for your letter. There is nothing we cannot achieve when we have clear goals and the tools of mind power as a daily practice.

Keep up the good work. I'm expecting great things from you.

Q I was having good concentration and mindset some time back, but in the course of time my mindset has changed. Now I am not able to concentrate fully in my work. How do I regain my concentration and mindset?

India

A We all go through cycles in both our personal life and our consciousness. Sometimes it happens naturally and sometimes because we aren't exercising our mind regularly. Just like working out in a gym or with a fitness program. When we do it regularly we look and feel great. But it is so easy to get busy and sidetracked and not follow the program or routine we have set for ourselves.

So my first question is, "Have you been doing your mind power exercises regularly?" If the answer is no, then you know what you have to do to get back your sharpness. If your answer is yes, then don't worry, your concentration will come back naturally. Sometimes we're more in tune than others. But ninety-five percent of the time our sluggishness is a product of failing to do our exercises.

Q I have already written to you re this subject and have found your response to similar questions rather interesting. The issue of overloading the mind with too many goals and aspirations intrigues me, and may be worthy of further understanding. I am absolutely convinced by your "hologram" theory that we are part of the larger Universe. In that mode the subconscious is vast, and it is also a fact that we use only about 10% of our real mental capabilities. From this perspective, I cannot imagine how we can even remotely come close to a state of overload, although perhaps the results would take a little longer in evolving. I must admit that I have found that whilst I am continuing to maintain my routine daily of a 'complete mental exercise' encompassing my full spectrum of goals and aspirations, things are starting to fall into place in all those areas. Maybe a bit less in some and more in the others, but ALL aspects are being addressed in a noticeable and positive manner. Any comments?

A When you use mind power regularly, practicing the techniques, there is a spillover effect in other areas of your life as well. As your vibration changes, everything changes. While your subconscious is vast and its potential literally unlimited, our conscious minds are not. That is why in the beginning stages of working with mind power I advise you to choose a few things to work on rather than a wish list of dozens. Too often people try to take on too much. Focus on a few major things and, as you achieve them, move on to others. This is the tried and true method. Always remember you crawl before you walk and you walk before you run. Start with basics and don't overload. However, as I mentioned, there will naturally be a spillover effect, and this is wonderful.

Q My problem is that I am confused about my future. I can't decide which area or business is best for me. Do you have any mental techniques by which I
can have my questions answered?

India

A You will find that at many points in your life there is confusion about your future. Life affords us many opportunities and choices. Also what is an appropriate focus at one stage of our life may be totally inappropriate at another. A successful life requires that we reassess regularly and listen closely to what speaks within us.

From your e-mail it appears that you are at the beginning stage of your working career, so I will offer you two suggestions. First, follow your passion discover what you love to do and make a career in that field of endeavour. Secondly, go to your subconscious mind for answers. Use the three steps outlined in the chapter titled "The Subconscious" in Mind Power Into the 21st Century, and let your inner wisdom guide you.

If you follow these two methods you will be guided in the right direction.

Q I have just started using Mind Power and am finding small changes occurring (for the better). However, I have one question I'd like you to answer please. We have a small business (hopefully with the practising of Mind Power it will soon be a big business) and one customer who owes us quite a lot of money. This customer is in a neighbouring country, where the only way to contact him is by either phone or fax. He has given every excuse in the book as to why he shouldn't pay us for the goods he has received. How would I use Mind Power in this instance, i.e., to get him to pay up? I keep thinking about it all day long, and I feel lots of fear and anxiety, as we need the money.

Edenvale, South Africa

A Several points to consider. Firstly, I would refer to your sentence, "I keep thinking about it all day long, and I feel lots of fear and anxiety, as we need the money." Fear and anxiety are toxic substances that poison our consciousness. Fear is using Mind Power to picture and attract what you don't want. Fear acts a as magnet to attract what we are focusing on. "Thinking about it all day long," is helping to create a situation where the fear will manifest.

The antidote to fear is to picture what you do want to happen.

Here is what I suggest you do. Release and let go of the thoughts of that customer, and begin programming your mind with prosperity (see the CD's "Programming for Prosperity" and "Attracting an Abundance of Money," plus the "Prosperity Consciousness" chapter in Mind Power Into the 21st Century.)

When you think of your customer, bless him, send him love, and assume that somehow, in some way, your money will come back to you. Spend a few minutes each day doing this, and then let it go. Spend the rest of your time programming for prosperity, seeing your business grow and thrive. By doing this you will attract prosperity. I wish you the very best in your future business.

Q I believe absolutely in affirmations and the power of a person to create their own reality. However, I have one thing that bothers me and I don't know how to deal with it. I am not a white person but I go to business school in southern USA where racist attitudes still exist to a certain extent. I find that many of my classmates do not want to interact socially with me just because I am not white and not American. I am generally a fun, intelligent person, but how will they know that if they don't give me a chance? I am not by any means a loser. I dress well, speak English extremely well, and am good at my work. Is there a way mind power can help here?

Emory, USA

A I am certain that racial prejudices still exist with some people. However, in this day and age, most people you meet will be open and receptive to new friendships with fun, intelligent people. Perhaps the problem is that you are too defensive or too aware of your colour difference. Perhaps people think you don't want or need friendship. Maybe you have to try a little harder to put yourself in situations that initiate conversations, so that people can get to know you. I'm absolutely positive that if you do this regularly and practice mind power techniques towards making new friends, those friends will appear. Dare to surprise yourself with these bold new thoughts and actions. Begin now to expect new friendships. They are closer and more available than you suspect.
