Monthly Mind Power Questions & Answers

February 2003

Q I am looking at purchasing a horse stud farm, something which has always been my passion and my dream. I am a single mother with 2 kids and only earn $35,000 a year as a secretary. I don't know where I will get the $890,000 from, but I am doing my affirmations daily and fully believe that this is where my future lies. The concern I have is that I don't know how I will make a living on the farm by myself. I have always had a passion for animals, and horses in particular, but don't really know anything about breeding them and would have to give up my secretary job in the city, so I don't know how I would survive and pay the day-to-day expenses. Am I being crazy to keep affirming that I can have this when there doesn't seem to be any possible way?

A All visionaries are considered crazy. All people who dream big dreams are told that they are fools, that their dreams will never happen for them. Is this an appropriate dream for you? Why not? Only you, within your heart, know what it is that you want and need for a successful happy life, but one thing that I can assure you of is that greater goals than this have been achieved by people working with Mind Powers. There are very few areas that you cannot change and influence working with the powers of your mind. Go to your subconscious mind and confirm for yourself that this is indeed a worthy goal for you, and once you have this confirmation, begin working with your Mind Powers. I wish you all the success.

Q I am torn between what I want to do and what my parents what me to do. I
am 23 years old and I recently became a mother, which I feel is the best thing that has ever happened to me! I dropped out of a very prestigious university in the United States to have my baby. My parents aren't very happy about this, because I refuse to return. The whole problem is that I never wanted to study law and I never wanted to go to that school. Now I feel that if I don't return, they will have wasted thousands of dollars on me, but on the other hand I feel like I just can't force myself to finish! I would now like to pursue a career in public relations, which is my passion. What do I do, go back and be depressed, or stay and disappoint my parents?

Namibia

A Greetings to Namibia. One of my favourite countries in the world.

Your situation is one that many people must confront at one point in their life. Do I honour and follow what my parents want for me, or do I follow what I want. Ultimately someone is going to be disappointed. While I'm sure your parents want the best for you, at 23 and as a new mother, your decisions should reflect what you desire. Check my previous monthly topic "Follow the Call."

Often people don't know what their passion is. Since you've stated that your passion is in public relations, I would advise you pursue it. Following your passion sometimes means disappointing others, but it always, always leads to an interesting and fulfilling life.

Q I have not read your book, but I have visited your web site many times and really enjoy/believe in what your are teaching. I have been in a stuck mode for about five years. I really have no idea what I want to do with my life! I have taken dozens of courses and have done all the aptitude tests I can handle. What is my next step?

A This web site is open to all whether you are a student of mine, whether you have read my books, listened to my tapes, or you just log on to the web site monthly to read the Topics of the Month and Questions and Answers. However, when I answer questions I must assume you have some knowledge of Mind Power. The book Mind Power Into the 21st Century explains all the techniques fully and I can't take the time here to "reinvent the wheel," so to speak, when I've done it at length in the book. Anyone who is having trouble working with Mind Power and hasn't read the book, well, what can I say? You ask, "What is my next step?" I'll have to let your intuition answerttint.

Q Your book on MIND POWER is excellent. But I have a question. Are the mind power principles applicable to people who have seen only the bad face of society? I'm referring to those little girls and women who have been trapped and forced to lead their life as prostitutes, with no chance for them to escape. My question is if mind power techniques are intended only for sections of society; how the above group can benefit from these principles?

A Each of us is born into different circumstances. It would be nave and ludicrous to suggest we are all born with equal opportunities. However, each of us has been blessed with a mind, and each of us has the ability to direct the thoughts we think. This is the great gift that each of us has been given. Every person can transform his or her life and situation using mind power. Thousands and thousands of individuals have uplifted lives from misery and hardship using their determination and positive thoughts. The universe recognizes and rewards such thinking. All of us, whatever our situation, have challenges and opportunities to better our lives using mind power.
