Learn Mind Power - Questions & Answers

October 2004

Q: How hard is it to develop your techniques? I've always believed in the power of the mind.

Victoria, Canada

A: It is not difficult to develop the techniques at all. In fact the techniques are extremely easy and simple to both understand and apply. However, what is difficult is doing them regularly and consistently. Too often what happens with mind powers is that people get really inspired in the beginning; they practice the techniques for several days or several weeks, yet they do not have the discipline and commitment to do them regularly and consistently, day after day, week after week, month after month until they actually begin to see the fabulous results that can happen with mind powers. Every person comes to this study with different objectives, and every person brings with them a different commitment. You will get out of mind powers exactly what you put into it, no more, no less. So pursue this science and a great and exciting life lies before you.

Q: I read a book about the power of subconscious. It says that every thought that my subconscious will receive will happen in real life, including the woman that I want.
Can this really happen?

Israel

A: The short answer is no. You have many thoughts that reach the subconscious which have negligible effects. The thoughts that will work for you are those that have been repeated over and over again with feeling and details. Once these thoughts have been imprinted, they act as a magnet attracting to the individual the people, circumstances and events that match the images within. For more detail, read the chapter on the subconscious mind in Mind Power Into the 21st Century.

Q: I have read your book Mind Power in the 21st Century and found it exciting. I have also read many other books, and many of them talk about how circumstances and events that occur in their lives are a result of a "universal network." By sending out signals, you attract what you are thinking about. Is this true, or is it that these events occur all the time around you but now you are in a different frame of mind?

USA

A: There are two schools of thought concerning the things that happen to us in our life. One is that everything is random and there is no relationship between what we think and what happens to us. The second is that we attract our circumstances in life by what we think and believe. It's no surprise that I belong to the second group. Having said that, I'm not so naive to believe that everything is black and white and neatly packaged such that it does not also allow for unknown and mysterious factors to enter into the formula.

I have been teaching Mind Powers for over 20 years and practicing it myself for 25 years. During this time I have had the opportunity to personally instruct over 100,000 people. I get immense feedback from past students and can say with 100% certainty that our thoughts influence our reality.

If you think of our reality as a giant web of energy, and every thought as a vibrating force within this energy, you can get a big picture of what is happening. Our subconscious mind is the link to this universal powerhouse, and we reach our subconscious through repetition and feeling. Understanding this, we can direct our thoughts in a way that attracts to us the conditions and circumstances we desire. We have far greater power to change and influence what happens to us than we might suspect. Our thoughts are the key.

I hope this helps to answer your question.

A: Your term "universal network" sounds somewhat metaphysical, however, it doesn't really matter what you call it, the fact is that we are all plugged into the web of reality and our thoughts and beliefs influence what happens to us. When you are vibrating with your personal energy your thoughts attract circumstances and situations to you. This is undisputable. However, as you work with mind powers more and more your awareness also increases, and what you will find is that this is what has always been happening to us. It's not something new - and certainly not something that has started to happen just since you've worked with mind powers - that this is how reality works. But now that we are more aware in consciousness, we can see it happening to us all the time. I hope this answers your question.

Q: I am single and have a baby with my ex. We parted 3 years ago and I have been unable to move on, partly because I still have a great relationship with him and partly because I don't think I want to lose him. In the chapter about personal relationships you advise that we should not put a face to the person we want when visualising. I constantly find myself visualising my ex. Is it OK to do this? Is it OK to want a specific person?

South Africa

A: It is absolutely fine to want a specific person if you know whom that person is. Since you have a child with this individual, it makes sense to employ the techniques towards re-establishing your relationship with him, especially since you say you still have a great relationship with him. Why, I wonder, did you break up? Was it you or him? Check with your intuition and your subconscious to make sure this is indeed what you want, and then go for it.

Q: I've read somewhere about collective consciousness, but I can't seem to find it again. Could you help me by explaining it again?

Otaki, New Zealand

A: Each of us has two minds. First, a conscious mind that deals with our personal experiences. Through this conscious mind we think, analyze, and experience our reality. The second mind, the subconscious mind, is different. Within this powerful mind every event, thought and experience that has ever happened to us is stored.

We also have what is commonly called the collective consciousness. At a subconscious level, we all share a collective consciousness. We are all connected into the web of reality through our subconscious. This is why E.S.P., telepathy, and absent healing all are very real phenomena. For thousands of years the great mystics and seers have said, "We are all one. "Beyond our surface mind we all share a similar ebb and flow of the collective consciousness of the human race.

Q: Why do the negative thoughts we have in everyday life have such control over our mind and body? Why do they scare and discourage us?
Ottawa, Canada

A: We get many negative imprints from all aspects of our society, especially our media. It is very easy to let a negative scare us and discourage us, but always remember it is only a thought. It has no more power over you than what you give it. Don't dwell on negatives. Practice making positive images and imagining a positive outcome to whatever the negative thought is suggesting. One of my past monthly topics was on eliminating negatives. Have a look at it. It suggests some excellent techniques.
