Q Thank you for your books and your web site. I refer to it every day. This past week, I made it through a health crisis with the help of God and by using the mind-control techniques I've learned from you. Quite an amazing thing happened actually. While I lay awake in terrible pain late one night, I tried visualizing myself as a healthy individual. The pain didn't disappear all at once. Something else happened. Out of the blue, something inside (my mind? my soul? God's voice?) told me exactly what was wrong with me and what was causing the problem. Not only that, I suddenly had complete information about how to best treat it! For some reason, I trusted this inner voice implicitly. I knew it was right. I got up and wrote down the "instructions" and began following them to the letter the next day. Now I'm much, much better. I'm becoming the
healthy individual I visualized. I expect to be completely well in a few days. What a relief!
Thank you for the work you do. I'm sure it means a great deal ton. many people. It must be a satisfying feeling knowing you have helped people all over the world.
Memphis, Tennessee
A Thank you very much for your e-mail. I hear from hundreds of my students who have reported similar situations where they have received information and guidance during a crisis situation. Isn't it wonderful to know that we have this ability within us and that help is always available?
You mention that it must be a satisfying feeling knowing that I have helped so many people all over the world. I think this is probably the most rewarding part of my work. Whether it is people I meet in a live seminar, or people I meet via e-mail and our website, it is just tremendously gratifying to know that the information on our tremendous powers and capabilities is being transmitted to people around the world. Thanks very much for sharing your story.
Q Hello, I have your book Mind Power but don't know how to start. Would you give some advice? My life is under the pressure of learning new skills (I'm a computer programmer) and it doesn't leave a lot time for relationships. I wish this coming year for my life to improve, as I expect it will. Thanks in advance.
New York, USA
A The first thing that you must do is make a decision as to exactly what it is that you want. Once you understand what it is that you want, then you can begin to apply the various Mind Power techniques in order to achieve it. You might want to look for improvements in your personal life. You might want to look for improvements in your business or financial situation, or in your health. There are numerous areas that you can begin to work on. One further suggestion I'm going to make is that we have a new tape, "Setting Up a Mind Power Program," that will assist you in designing a program that will work for you. All the information is there in the tape and I think it will be of great help to you. Congratulations for logging on to the site and all the success.
Q I am getting confused! You say that when we want something we should feel it as if we already have it. Yet I have read elsewhere that if we want something we should recognize that we want it, but then disassociate ourselves from it, and then it will come. These notions seem to be saying the direct opposite, or am I missing something?
Australia
A Good question. Actually, you have to do both. When you have your inner creative time you should feel as if you already have it. Make it real in your mind and claim it absolutely. Then when you're finished doing your exercises, let go of it and don't focus on it all day. Sometimes we try too hard, trying to force it, as if the more we think about it the quicker it will happen. Actually you can be hindering the process by being obsessive. Just do your exercises for ten and fifteen minutes a day and it will naturally happen.
Q Mind Power helped me to get out of an abusive marriage. I'm a totally new person now, strong, and I have a vision. At the moment I'm writing a book about my experiences because I know there are so many women who are suffering in silence. I have never written before but I have a passion for books and I trust and believe that it will be a success. My aim is to get many women out of the misery they don't need. My only concern is my two little boys who do not understand the new arrangement, but again I tell myself they will understand one day. I see my weakness when they ask questions - it's either I ignore the question, or I say I don't know and feel I'm not being fair with myself and them. Can you help?
Randburg, South Africa
A Congratulations on leaving an abusive marriage. I'm sure it took a tremendous amount of courage, and you should acknowledge yourself for that and use this decision as a source of power for yourself. If you can make a big move like this, you can do anything. It's only natural that your two little boys do not understand the new arrangement. How could they? How can a child possibly understand what you went through and why they suddenly don't have a father around? It's tough on them. So you must have compassion and understanding for them and for yourself too.
There will be countless doubts, worries and concerns regarding your decision and new life. It will take time for all of you to adjust to the new situation. Not having all the answers for kids is not a weakness, it's a strength. It shows you can be honest and open, rather than bluffing your way through with answers you don't necessarily believe. I am sure that with Mind Powers you will create a loving and successful family environment where you all will thrive.
Q Visiting this web site is a constant reminder that I should and can be doing something to be the best that I can be. It is inspiring to hear the other success stories, and it is warming to hear from those who are trying. My first Mind Power experience happened yesterday it was extremely empowering. I am studying journalism and was on the lookout for a story idea. A few weeks before I was given an assignment, a lady knocked on my door asking me to sign a petition against a proposal for development in the area. At the time I didn't think about it being a story for university, and I could've kicked myself afterwards for not getting more details from her. But the other night before I went to bed I repeated over and over again that I was going to get my story idea the next day. The next morning I woke up and repeated to myself that today was the day my story idea would come to me. And sure enough, I bumped into the lady in the street that same morning. I now have a story. I have seen how it can work. Can you help me in my next step to success? I like journalism, but I don't think that it is what I am truly passionate about. I feel a bit lost because I am searching for what it is I love doing, but haven't found it yet. I know I want to be successful, but as you said in Money, Success and You, it won't happen if you aren't doing something that you love. I have always wanted to be happy in the work that I do; can you suggest a technique I can use to find my true passion/talent in life?
Australia
A Trust yourself. What do you love to do? Forget an occupation; think fun, joy, pleasure. Pursue this and you will be led to many opportunities that complement it. Use your subconscious mind. Program it to lead you into situations where you will find interesting people and work. Did you read last month's Topic of the Month, "Follow the Call?"
Q How can Mind Power help me through my confusion on selecting the right path for my life?
New York
A You have a subconscious mind that is always available for guidance. One of its functions is to help guide you in just such decisions. Read July's Topic of the Month, "Following the Call."
Q I read your book Mind Power, which was published in Germany in the late eighties, and applied its techniques. They worked extremely well for me and I achieved most of the goals that I set for myself. However, not too long into the process of using mind power, I started to doubt that this could really all be happening. I have been struggling ever since to keep using the techniques you describe in your book. Now there is always this little voice in my head questioning my attempts at using mind power. Therefore it has been an up and down for the last 11 years. Could you give me some advice?
Phoenix, AZ
A You have had early success in using mind power and this is good. I'm not surprised the little voice sowed seeds of doubt when this happened, and is now questioning your attempts to use mind power. I call this voice "The Great Trickster." It is a great trickster because it attempts to fool and limit us. Every person using mind power must become aware of this voice. You can never fully eliminate it, but by naming it and being aware of it, we can diminish its negative power immensely. When the voice tries to discourage you, treat it simply as a negative thought. Whatever the voice says, make up an affirmation that suggests the opposite something positive.
Get back onto a regular mind power program and all will be fine.
Q How can 30 de-motivated children playing rugby be motivated after a 10-game losing streak. We have tried different methods, brought people over to help, but nothing seems to be working. John please help!
Pretoria, South Africa
A Sometimes the pressure to end a losing streak can build up a mountain of obstacles. I would suggest changing the emphasis from winning, to looking for improvement. Take the pressure off. Maybe in one game you could focus on increasing the number of successful passes. If this is accomplished, you've found something to feel good about. Perhaps in another game try increasing the number of tackles. Again, when achieved, this is something to acknowledge. So set attainable goals beyond simply winning. Let your players see that they can improve. Let the children know that improving is just as important as winning. With this focus and attitude, and a continually improving team, you're bound to get your share of wins. Good luck.
