Q
Hi, I have been ill with a chronic fatique-like syndrome for a long time and would like to help myself with Mind Power techniques. It sounds silly but I just cannot seem to visualise myself being better. I can't get the feeling (seeding) to come through in me, feels as though my body doesn't want to change.
A
Do not confuse your inability to visualize or seed with your body not wanting to change. Of course it wants to be healthy and full of energy. Probably it is your mind that is reluctant and lazy. The mind comes up with all kinds of excuses for not doing the exercises and it can be very creative and convincing in getting you not to do the exercises. I cover this thoroughly in my seminars and the Mind Power Home Study Program. Why does it do this? Because it is not used to being trained and directed, and so fights the process at first. The important thing is to not let it talk you out of doing the daily exercises. Start again and do your seeding and visualization exercises daily. Your mind will cooperate if you discipline it. You might also add some affirmations. A good one might be "Every day in every way I am getting better and better," and another one, "Every day I feel more energy in my body and mind."
Commit yourself to a sixty-day program and watch what happens.
Q Fantastic book, have been practising the techniques for about 36 months now. Have had incredible success. Now I have an online business that does over 7 million pounds per annum, also a property portfolio that will enable me to retire in the next five years. I cannot thank you enough, as Mind Power has made me prosperous in a short time.
A Thanks so much for your feedback. I hear these type of stories thousands of times a year, but each time I hear one it warms my heart and is special because each one is unique. Thank you for sharing and for being so successful. Our success helps many people. Our failure helps no one. I'm posting it on the website as inspirtion for my web students.
Q Can you see yourself with a person whom you know is impossible, such as an actor, someone you know you could never be with? Can you use creative vizualization in something extreme like owning a $400,000 home when you only make $15,000? What are the limits to visualization?
A What are the limits to visualization? That's a good question and one I get asked a lot. Usually I answer that you should limit your visualization to within the realm of the possible. For example, it is unlikely you could visualize and grow a new limb, or learn how to fly, so you must be realistic, but here's the problem. Often we limit ourselves so much in limiting what we think we can achieve. Your two examples give us an excellent instance of this. The first - imaging yourself with a famous movie star - is probably not going to happen. But your second one of owning a $400,000 home is very possible. True, not by earning only $15,000 a year, but why not increase your earning capacity? A new life is but a new mind. May I suggest that you invest in my new 2-disc CD The Money Seminar. It will teach you how to be creative, how to harness your subconscious by imprinting prosperity beliefs, how to work smart not hard, and much more. Don't limit yourself in your thinking and you will increase your earning potential to the point where you can easily afford the house.
Q Hello John. Thank you so much for this website, I love it. I have a question about affirmations. I seem to have a lot of problems trying to find ways to word them in a positive manner. For example, I want to move away from my husband and divorce him (Please don't advise me to try to fix our relationship like people so often do; I appreciate their good intentions but please understand that my husband is abusive and he will never change, I have been with him for 7 long infernal years and he hasn't changed at all in that time, nor has he ever wanted to change). As I was saying I want to move out and divorce my husband. I have been using affirmations such as: "I am living far away from X," "I am separating from X," "I don't depend on X anymore." Will these sorts of affirmations work, or would there be a better, more positive way to word these affirmations? Thank you.
A Sometimes marriages don't work and that's all there is to it. I usually advise people to try and work it out first as that is the best solution, especially if there are children. But if you're past that change then it is time to move on. There are many affirmations you might use that are positive. How about, "I'm single and free," "I'm single and happy," "I'm single and doing fabulously." You get the idea. Design affirmations that represent what it is that you want to be happening to you.
Q
The reason I write is I have questions beyond the 'norm,' and as you have already spoken in a language befitting, you just might know the answers.
1) How is it that I can (say) or (think) something and it happens instantly?
and
2) How do I learn to do this at will?
Why do I ask these particular questions? This is the conundrum I've experienced for over 20 years, not knowing how this works and how to use it for manifesting the life I want. I know thought manifests. I know the spoken word manifests. I just don't know how to do it at will. Which is why I'm on the verge of homelessness again.
You spent time in the mountains gaining understanding. You probably know how to manifest instantly.
This knowledge is what I seek. Can you guide me?
A
Q I'm trying to harness the Mind Power strategies to control phobia-based panic attacks. Do you have any advice? I have been successful with Mind Power before!
A Mind Power has been used by many people to cure themselves of phobias. The process is to simply recreate in your mind the approriate responses that you wish to experience when the panic sets in. You do this through the regular Mind Power exercises. When these responses are internalized and make a subconscious imprint they become automatic and override the negative responses. You say that you have had success before using Mind Power, so you are familiar with the techniques and, even better, you know that they work.
Q Do you think recovering drug addicts can use Mind Power to overcome their addiction?
A Absolutely. One hundred percent. Mind Power is the best tool and friend an addict can have. How do I know this? Because I have heard from hundreds of addicts, both face to face and through emails, who have used this system effectively. What better way to help yourself than to have your mind as your best friend.
