  3. This is a great book. More than once, I’ve read this work and extract something pivotal each time. If anything, it provides guidance in finding the correct path for those struggling in the atmospheric fragmented course of positive thinking.

  4. I believe that your Mind Power, which was recommended to me while going through a rather nasty patch with my business, saved my sanity, let alone my life. It gave me a whole new outlook on life. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

  5. Kehoe presents his material in a clear, understandable way. He knows what mind power is and how to direct it. I liked this book so much that I went on to get his home training course. It’s invaluable information that I wish we all knew and applied.

  6. Simple, straight forward and concise.

Its an ideal book to read to make you understand how your thought process can have an impact on your life.

Changing how you thing and perceive issues can have an impact on both your mental and physical health.

  7. The best book I’ve read in this topic. Really amazing!

  8. I have read every and all books on the Power of Attraction and this book, Mind Power is by far the very best I’ve read. I finally get it and am using it every day, not like the other books where as soon as I finished the book I forget everything. Mind Power says it better than all the rest, including Abraham and the Secret! Good job and Thank you John!

  9. WOW! This book is powerful. If you want to transform your stinky thinking-get this book! This book has truly inspired me to protect my thoughts. I have always considered myself a positive person. Yet, I realize that the negativity in the world was getting to me. Now, I find myself declaring (especially when I encounter negative people. or even hearing the grim news reports)–“Every day in Every Way it is getting better and better.”

  10. This is just a little letter to say thank you very much for the power that I have learned to use through your book Mind Power! In 28 years I had not done what I have done in the year since I read and studied your book. I have yet to master everything but am positive that by trying my best, it will only get better. Also to tell you that a friend of mine wanted to commit suicide in December; I lent him my copy of Mind Power and am glad to say that he is now very positive, still very shaky, but happily in the land of the living. So you have saved a life – thank you very much.

  11. This is the best introductory book to recognizing and changing your thoughts. For the past month I’ve applied the principles in this book to INCREDIBLE results. This should be a must in school. For those of us, who had “bad” programming, you will love your new mind. Quick read too. Will reread each year to keep the principles fresh.

  12. great book.. I am reading it a second time and taking advantage of recommended reading. enjoy. my suggestion is for anyone to get this book and use it to help propel the thoughts and ideas…

  13. Very enlightening and informative book, for the open minded. I thought it was great! I’m practicing some of his techniques now and they’re very powerful. I’m looking forward to his newest book, Quantum Warrior.

  14. I am glad and thankful for the opportunity to read this book. I read it slowly so I could practice the principals. I never read a book twice, I never watch a movie twice, but this time I decided to read this book more than once. I recommend you read it and take full advantage of the teachings. Sometimes, things are going well in our lives and there is only one little thing you cannot change but would like to; read the book to see if you can train your mind with the purpose of getting that last piece of the puzzle. I am a magnet for some things but not for others and I believe that what I learned here will help me in the areas needed.

  15. I don’t even know how to begin to thank you. I received your book Mind Power last week and have read it thoroughly and am about to begin to read it a second time. It is the BEST book I have read in my entire life and I have read many. It has completely changed my outlook on life…. this book has taught me so much more, and has confirmed the things I already began to believe….

I want to thank you wholeheartedly for your lessons and inspiration. I am practicing your lessons every day, as you have stated to do, and I am already seeing changes in myself, and others around me. I hope that I can help other people as well.

  16. A clear and concise, practical book on the topic. I have been following some of the recommendations for a month and definitely do see a lot of benefits from the practices ( such as visualization, seeding etc).

  17. I got an autographed copy from Amazon. I read his story and had to get two of his books. Learn the power of your mind and life gets easier

  18. “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.” ~Aristotle

If you want anything in life, you have to start with a clear vision or goal. The clearer your vision, the more likely you’ll succeed. Just read up on virtually any famous person throughout our history, and the one unanimous thing you’ll notice is that they all had a clear vision of their success BEFORE they were successful. For instance, Arnold Schwarzenegger pictured himself winning the Mr. Olympia title hundreds of times before he ever competed for it. Thomas Edison persisted in his experiments to create the incandescent light bulb, despite hundreds and hundreds of consecutive failures, because he *knew* he would eventually succeed. When Henry Ford told his engineers to build the V8 engine, they protested and told him that the design was simply not possible. He responded by saying, “Go ahead and build it anyways. I want it and I’ll have it.” Some time later, they had done it. Henry Ford may not have known how they would solve the design problem, but he *knew* they eventually would.

History is filled with these kinds of stories. Have you ever noticed that some people always seem to succeed, no matter what? Or perhaps how when you really want something bad enough, you’ll find a way to get it? These things are not simply coincidences! Everything starts with a vision, a goal, a clear cut picture of what you want. If you want it bad enough, and you have the FAITH to never give up, then you will obtain it.

“Whether you think you can or think you can’t, you’re right.” ~Henry Ford

So, why not think “you can”? Why not fill your head with thoughts of success, power, health, wealth, and achievement? Why not create a clear mental picture of what you want in life, and then constantly focus upon it until it’s yours? This is what all of history’s greatest achievers have done, and you can do it, too!

That’s really what this book is all about. It’s about using mental techniques to create a clear vision for what you want in life. And by constantly reinforcing that vision, you get closer and closer to achieving it each day. Your actions may change a little, or you may not give up so easily, or you may start to believe and feel that you really can get what you want. But whatever the method, sooner or later, with enough desire and faith, you’ll have it.

Now, you have to understand, the book will not work miracles. It takes diligent practice of the exercises for anything to work. There’s no such thing as “something for nothing”. And additionally, much of this information has been presented before in other books (e.g., Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, which is a fantastic read that I highly recommend). But there’s something to be said about the “regimen” and “concreteness” of the exercises presented here.

If you want to change your life, you have to start by deciding what you want to change. This book will help you figure that out and will help you eventually achieve whatever it is you truly want.

  19. Robert Henson

This is one of the better self help books I’ve read. Mr. Kehoe doesn’t promote day dreaming, but shows you that what we incision, and the actual manifestation of that vision, are very well connected.

  20. The book is well written and insightful. It doesn’t really provide any additional insights that I haven’t already discovered through the years but is does help to reinforce them.

I have one big complaint though and it has nothing to do with the book…I am so sick and tired of having my highlighted passages in the e-books that I’ve purchased here at Amazon disappear almost every bloody time I reopen the book in my Kindle Fire. I don’t want to download them, upload them, or use any other bloody software device as a means of saving my highlights. I want to be able to actually have the highlights SAVED permanently on the Kindle. This seems to be something Amazon’s Kindle can’t manage to do. And yes, I’ve re-uploaded my books over and over again to no avail. What the heck is the point of offering highlighting if the bloody thing won’t save the highlights?? With books in this genre, highlighting and notes are important aspects of any reading experience, but apparently Amazon is too big and busy to concern itself with such customer concerns.

  21. kathy

Holy cow! This book changed my life! I love John Kehoe for writing this book-it’s so straight forward so honest so powerful! Maybe one of the most telling facts about my experience with this book is that while still reading it I couldn’t hardly wait to reread it 🙂
I am also currently reading and loving Mind Power for children.

  22. Heather Grainger

I found this to be a very easy read. The information in it was very relevant to what I needed. I am now reading the book for a second time.

  23. This book changed my life!!!!!! Great life lessons learned. Buy this book twice if i could.

  25. Excellent , if you are serious about getting what you want from life you need to work on yourself first. The advice is this book is essential to help you achieve your goals.

  26. Great book very easy read to follow nice big print very motivating

  27. I recommend this book to every person – read it and I am sure you will agree there is much food for thought and action.

  28. If you are looking for a book that draws on deep reflection, this is a great read which can facilitate your ability to harness untapped potential.

  29. Mind Power Into the 21st Century, a New York Times bestseller by John Kehoe, defines the powerful effects of neuroscience –science of the mind, a potentially complicated self-help theory. He explains the science in-depth with great wisdom in a friendly but persuasive tone. Kehoe simplifies the techniques of visualization, seeding, meditation, acknowledging, intuition, affirmations, dreams, conscious, and subconscious that bring about powerful, effective change in individuals.

Written in clear and coherent language, the book appeals to a very wide general audience. Reading this book, it is quite evident that Kehoe is more than an author; he was a student turned teacher and coach living his highest “calling”, which is teaching individuals to improve their lives by seeking the gems that lie in their subconscious mind. Kehoe teaches individuals to live their lives connecting to their higher self and manifesting a life of abundant joy. To live to one’s highest potential, Kehoe teaches how to receive the universal attributes, which are one’s birthright: success, happiness, joy, health, and wealth in all areas of life.

His purpose for writing this book is on the same cord as his own personal calling. He has a great life, and he wants everyone to enjoy and embrace their lives as he does. Kehoe knows everyone is born with two minds, the conscious and the subconscious mind. The conscious is the outer mind; the subconscious is the inner mind.
Once the outer being connects with the inner being, the connection is responsible for the transformation in life. Be alive—Live!

This book is a guide and Kehoe is coaching the readers with conviction as he narrates the path to travel on their journey of self actualization. He presents a pragmatic approach toward the applications of the practice of the techniques. Though the steps are easy, Kehoe cautions his readers that in order to benefit, one must be disciplined and practice daily —practice until something happens. He acknowledges that individuals may doubt the process and the inclination to give up may arise because nothing is changing. He carefully chooses his words of encouragement as he reiterates that new habits must be created, and they are formed through continuous practice.

Kehoe cites, “We might be far more willing to learn how to use our mental mechanisms if we imagined for a moment that for every thought we either gained a dollar or lost a dollar, depending on the type of thought. Considering we think thousands of thoughts every day, this is quite a proposition. Imagine an accounting system noting our every thought and recording which ones gained us money and which ones lost us money. How diligent we would be in controlling and directing our thoughts! How enthusiastically we would create those thoughts which made us money, and how carefully we would avoid those which cost us money” (p. 9).

Kehoe’s main point is developing a prosperity consciousness generates more money. Since thoughts create current situations, change thoughts to create desired circumstances.

He uses detailed descriptions and anecdotes to illustrate his principles, such as visualization. To visualize, create a movie featuring the thing you want. Claim it in your mind and place the emotion and the feeling in your feature movie. Sit and visualize this movie every day, twice a day, once in the morning for ten minutes and once in the evening, right before bedtime. Practicing visualization and persistence is the key. Keep practicing until all inner thoughts are actualized. This practice is free and within everyone’s reach. I recommend this book for anyone who wants to enhance and change their life.

Kehoe has studied mind power for over twenty years and travels internationally as well as nationally on speaking tours, workshops and trainings sessions teaching mind control to millions. Kehoe has written over ten books that lend themselves to the workings of mind power. One of his greatest desires is to make a positive change in the lives of others. Kehoe writes these principles in books hoping to reach a wider audience. “You can earn a living by doing what you do not like but you cannot be successful”, says Kehoe. “Repetition is the key to mind power.”.

  30. I bought this book many years ago after meeting a client whose life had changed after implementing the principles in the book.
First of all, you can’t just read the book and expect results.
We need to do the exercises and put things into practise day on day, week after week. Like training for a marathon.

When I bought the book I was an employee, now am a successful business owner, not saying the changes in my life are due only to this book, but certainly it was the start of a new thought process. I also did a course he gave over 4 weeks, once a week.
I have given this book as gifts to young family members and friends.

    In summary, it is about;
    visualization, intuition, dreams, beielfs etc.

I hope that this review has been helpful.
A worthwhile book, but if you have books with similar topics, maybe just do the exercises in the book you already have.
If you don’t have a similar book, then buy this book for sure.
Or otherwise, download the free and legal version of Think and Grow Rich. Copyright has expired, so book is free.

    All the best to you

    Back to work I go……

  31. Great inspiration. This book has changed my way of thinking and behavior. We are carrying all kinds of powers and we are always unaware. We are products of our thoughts and habits.

  32. It started off a little slow. However, it was well worth it. This book is full of interesting and useful insights and plans.

  33. I have done lots of meditation, affirmations, Law of Attraction stuff, therapy, and on-and-on. Prior to this I had created significant changes in my life… going from broke to amazingly affluent. I have felt like I’ve been hitting my head against an invisible ceiling… and wondering how I could do more than just “creative workshop” and affirmations and pumping myself up to “feel” when there were old programs that were working in opposition to those feelings under the surface – that can be very tiring, by the way. When I was introduced to John Kehoe’s work everything changed. I also suggest you get the Home Study Course. 10 CDs. You can find it on Amazon or eBay for approximately $100. Those audios are AMAZING. I loaded them on to 2 iPods.. one for my home and one for my car… and listen to it everywhere I go. They contain exercises to do on a daily basis — THEREIN LIES THE KEY. The short, specific “contemplations” to do again and again on a daily basis… whew. This work has changed my life. Try it. I have shared it with many people own my team in my business… and they are getting the same transformative results.

  34. I read this book when I was younger, and I have to say that this has to be the best mind power book that I have ever read in my life. I don’t think I have read a better mind power book that just gets to the point and tells you how to harness your natural powers.

  35. Love this book and here’s why. It is much more concise in teaching the basic concepts of how to use your mind and there were methods and examples that I found helpful in adding to my tools. I have studied and enjoyed a large variety of materials on the subject of manisfesting and linking into a much greater power base for realizing your dreams and goals. This is one of the more succinct and easily understood books on the subject.

  36. John Kehoe is the real deal on mastering Mind Powers, with real life practices on addressing the negative thoughts that run through. Thank you John Kehoe for your insights, passion and expertise in rolling out a 1st class practice in obtaining happiness, our goals and joy.

  37. I have read a lot of books concerning the mind. Most of them were just theory, but Mind Power gives you techniques to practice daily. I look forward to practicing these techniques everyday because I know they will work. I recommend this book to anyone looking to re-wire their brain and achieve the life they truly desire

  38. This book has changed my mind level. I thought I was taking control of my thoughts, but that was only my mind telling me that. This challenges me, really gets my mind and subconscious working, all to my benefit.
It is not too ‘deep’ like some books. It is not easy reading either, but if you take the time to fully take in and understand what is written then you will notice changes. I am not the same person who started reading this book – and I am so proud to be able to say that.
I followed this with john’s other book – Quantum Warrior – The Future of the Mind.
With both books in my library I am now on a new journey to discover the real power and possibilities within me that I did not even know existed.

  39. Because using the techniques are changing my whole life and the way to see at it.the technique are so simple that sometimes we take them for granted but who ever is reading this. Just try them and you will see your life unfolding and noticing things that were always there but you never noticed.

  40. lakieshia_mcghee

Although I am not new to self-help/law of attraction books this is must read. I first learned of John Kehoe on YouTube. His words were so powerful that I rushed to order this book. This book gives a different spin on using your mind to change your life. Even though I thoroughly enjoyed this book it does not contain any concepts that I haven’t already heard. The author teaches a concept and gives you step by step instructions on how to implement that concept into your life. It is a quick and easy read. It is very refreshing. I would definitely recommend that this book become part of your library.

  41. aytan_gadiyeva

The book promotes the development of skills, the objectives, the development of creative thinking. When you read this book there is a confidence that everything will be alright, man feels himself stronger, and every problem is considered as a chance to learn something new.

  42. Quick and easy read. It’s the application that takes discipline.
Definitely need to read this book before the Quantum Warrior.

  43. It is a book that I go back to again and again ,to find an answer for a situation that is difficult. I love the easy reading style and the straight to the point mindset of the author. I will always look for his new book.

  44. well written, fast-reading and chock full of good information. the only issue, since it’s a survey-type book, you won’t get in depth explanations and analyses of the various concepts that it covers. but you can always go and read up on whatever interests you.

  45. The power that exists within the human mind is absolutely amazing and John Kehoe’s book is one of the worlds best, evidenced by the fact that it is a number one international best seller, when it comes to helping you tap into the vast resource we all have.

The information is easy to read and easy to apply and I believe that is the key to his book: do the exercises. On another note, I just want to say here that Mr. Kehoe is an amazing man, a great philanthropist and a wonderful speaker. If you ever have an opportunity to participate in his events, I would encourage you to do so.

  46. Excellent work by John, he is a great giver of direction for finding the right way to be a successful person. The tips and techniques are without a doubt the new profile of self study in mind power improvement.

  47. I was only 16 years old when I came across a copy of Mind Power. I think a combination of boredom and curiosity caused me to read the first paragraph, and my life has been changed ever since. After applying the science of Mind Power to my life, I have discovered a whole new world of opportunities, from changing my occupation to acquiring my first car, all made possible by the lessons taught in Mind Power. All I can say is thank you, and may everyone live their dreams, just like I do!

  48. This is an easy to read down to earth totally makes sense kind of a book. John Kehoe writes about something complex yet makes it so easy for the reader to understand. I usually share my books with friends but this one isn’t going to leave the house because I am reading it over again as a reminder of what I learned the first read. It’s not rocket science – it is just great information and a powerful reminder of how we can untilize our subconscious mind to create what we desire.

  49. This book is slowly changing my life and how I think. Was having health issues which are now being resolved with mind over matter power. You have to put in the small amount of work but it’s worth it.

  50. It helped me change my life, and I have now bought this for 4 friends who are now about to change their lives.

  51. How to POSITIVELY brainwash yourself…

Brainwashing might sound bizarre but it happens overtime through your friends, environment and through media.
This book provides a way to brainwash or as it is called in the book ‘imprint’ your sub-conscious mind to empower you as opposed to what media etc can tend to do. I have been using the techniques in this book for over 3 years. It has provided me with a daily habit that gives me not only a sense of direction, but an easily achievable way to consistently improve myself as well as my self-image.
You will find that once you start with one technique, that the benefits just start to overflow into all areas of your life.
A great read, and if you get a chance to listen to his home study CD’s if they are still available, take it!

  52. The book builds up a training and methodical process that is a must-read for anyone seeking for a pragmatic method and system of regaining control of our lives.

  53. Really helped me at a time when I needed it. Who knew for years and years that I was essentially creating my own unhappiness with my own mind. Attacking myself day after day. This book got into my hands by accident and it changed my life.

  54. I’ve read many books of this nature, and this one is one of the better ones. Below is an overview.

The point of this book is to put yourself into a positive feedback loop and thereby make continuous small changes until your goals/dreams are achieved. It is very incremental/cumulative (ch10), and designed to get around the negative self-sabotage often indoctrinated into your self-image (ch13). “You will become what you constantly think about yourself.”

Ch2 and the drive of this book (p11): “Your circumstances and situation never keep you down! The only things keeping you down and stuck are your thoughts. With work and practice you can direct your thoughts and create any consciousness you choose. Your reality will change only *after* you’ve developed new consciousness. The new consciousness must come first.”

    visualization (ch3) — 10min daily
seeding (ch4) — 5min daily (like a prayer treating what you want as it has already happened, repetition for ‘strong thoughts’)
affirmations (ch5) — don’t have to believe them; just make them positive
acknowledgment (ch6) — your consciousness creates reality and you create your consciousness
sub-conscious mind as ‘vibrational amp’ in holographic reality (ch7)
sub-conscious tapping for intuitional answers (ch8) using a relaxing/visualization exercise
sub-conscious dialogue via dream interpretation (ch9) as a way of developing sub-conscious mind
    sub-conscious help with relationships (ch17)
contemplation (ch11) to focus/build up concentration
    selecting positive beliefs (ch12)
creativity (c14) — the creative people think they are creative… p99-100 about conversations with imaginary mentors is a good technique I’d not seen elsewhere
no problems only opportunities (ch15) — application of seeking the positive into daily problems
the healing power of positive thinking (ch16) — example exercise, Brofman’s story p 110-111

prosperity consciousness (ch17) — “It’s an abundant universe, life is fun and rewarding, staggering opportunities are everywhere, and it is my responsibility to be successful.” Associate with success everywhere; success begets success. “Your success helps many — the world needs you!”

  55. This book is a gem, and one I highly recommend for anyone looking into the law of attraction, the power of our thoughts and feelings, visualization, the power of our consciousness etc, to transform or improve their lives, relationships, health, financial situation etc. Simple to read yet so clear and complete. With exercises and techniques explained – short and simple. A very positive and uplifting book to read anytime, a gold mine.

  56. I bought two books a while back to help me accomplish my goal and be more successful. Mind Power and The Motivated Mind. I choose to read the latter because I honestly thought the cover and title of Mind Power were a bit cheesy. I still believe they are cheesy but I also wish I would have read this book hmm about 12 years ago when i was a kid. I feel like so many opportunities to use the techniques were wasted. The book is very intuitive and I understood every concept except the hologram section. Maybe thats because I am not physics savvy.

The only suggestion I have for the book would be a summary of the steps to take to learn the books techniques. Something to map the progression of Mind Power. Other than that I love this book and I am excited for the great things in my future.

  57. As a licensed therapist, I have read quite a few self-help books over the years. John Kehoe provides specific steps one needs to take to effect a change in their life. A terrific guide for those who may have read/seen “What The Bleep Do We Know…” or “The Secret.” But, as Kehoe advises at the beginning of his book, if you are not prepared to practice these principles DAILY nor willing to be PATIENT, don’t bother buying the book! Change – especially with regard to habits that have been cultivated for years – will not occur overnight.

  58. This book is absolutely wonderful reading. It is helpful, insightful, and practical. I have learned a lot from it and enjoy thinking about what I’ve read and coming back again to reread some things for better understanding. Good book!

  59. With so many books to choose from on the topic of the power of positive thought, it can be challenging to decide which one to pick. You need a book that is clear and concise, one that makes sense, and one that has helpful advice to help you achieve your goals. Mind Power Into the 21st Century is such a book.

Kehoe’s work is full of excellent observations, very helpful advice, and quotes from others throughout history who have put their own positive thoughts to good use. He delves into the very useful techniques of visualization, seeding, affirmations, acknowledging, working with the subconscious mind, and more. Kehoe also has specific chapters dedicated to achieving your goals on the subjects of relationships, health, and money.

It’s amazing that such a wealth of knowledge can not only be picked up for less than the price of taking a date out to the movies, but it can also be read through and easily understood in a few days time.

  60. I just came to express my thanks to mr. Kehoe
your book is a true gift,i will make sure to transfer the knowledge in it to my future children.
many times we are choosing to focus on the difficult sides of a unpleasant situations.
after understanding your concept,i realized that you are right-in every unpleasant situation, there is a positive side as well, that we just have to find.
or as you said it:there is no problems-only opportunities.

beside the explanations about the real mind power, you didn’t forgot to encourage the reader to be kind to others, and to become a better person.

    Thanks !
