Living in the NOW Means Enjoying the Moments

I already know that the best place to live in is the present! Each day… practicing living in the now, feeling it, being present, not being anxious or worried about my past or future but enjoying the now! We all know this but can we practice it? What would our life be like if we practiced living and enjoying the moments of each day, […]

Sprouting Seeds is the Same as Creating New Beliefs

My wife Sylvia has taken to sprouting seeds of her favourite greens—kale, arugula and romaine— which she wants for our garden. She planted about four seeds in each little container in the flat. I’ve been watching her and the love and attention she is giving these tiny seedlings. She waters them daily so the soil stays moist, and keeps them in the sun during the day, bringing them back into the house at night so they will stay warm. […]

Our Success Helps Many; Our Failure Helps No One

It is a revolutionary idea and one that dramatically changes our life when we embrace it. Imagine believing that our success actually helps many people. When we believe this, it totally changes the way we think about success. Suddenly our success becomes a way by which we can help people, and we should believe this because when you closely scrutinize this concept it becomes obvious that this is true. […]

Life Changes

Apparently a red-flanked bluetail from Asia was spotted last week in Vancouver, and it seems it is a big deal. Now I’m not a birder, so I don’t really get excited about these things, but I was intrigued when the speculation about how it got here was raging. One theory is that it was caught up in a major storm front and blown thousands of miles from its habitat. Hmmm… just like all our lives, I thought. […]

Listen to Your Instincts, They Hold Your Destiny

It is a breakthrough in our understanding of ourselves and our place in the world to discover that our body has access to information beyond what the mind can understand. The body feels the world energetically. The body feels, and the mind thinks; these are two different ways of obtaining information. When we rely only on the mind and our logic, we close ourselves off to a huge source of information. We become partial selves and cannot fully feel what we should be doing in life. You could call this too much thinking and not enough feeling. We can only find our true destiny by trusting and following our instincts and feelings. It is this faculty that will reveal these insights to us, not our mind. This is backed by scientific experiments. One experiment was by neuroscientist Antonio Damasio, who devised a test that measured our ability to process information. He found that the body can feel and process information many times faster than the mind. In other words, our gut feelings and hunches should be listened to. The body influences rational thought without our even being aware of the process. Is this good news? You bet it is. We, as human beings, are multi-dimensional beings with a conscious mind, a subconscious, a soul, and a BODY. And this body is capable of guiding us in all areas of our lives if we tune into it. Trust and act upon what your deep feelings are telling you, and you will be led in extraordinary directions. One of the mystic titles of the body (from Quantum Warrior – The Future of the Mind) is Navigator to Our Destiny. Only our body can reveal our destiny to us. Our mind can try to “figure out” what our destiny is, but this is not how we find it. We discover our destiny by trusting our feelings and letting them guide us to do what “feels right.” We should always ask ourselves, “Does it feel right?” in every major decision in our lives. And if it doesn’t, question ourselves as to why we are making this decision. Body wisdom is the wisdom of knowing without using our mind. It is intuitive, connecting us to our deeper selves, and far more reliable than logic. Trust how you feel.

The Subconscious Contains Our Unused Potentials and Our Blockages

The subconscious contains within it our unused potentials, as well as the personal blockages that keep us stuck in the various problem areas of our life. I sometimes refer to these as our light and dark shadows. The word shadow is a Jungian term and refers to those parts of us that are unconscious. Being unconscious, we do not see them, but we often see their effects in our life, that is we don’t see what causes the shadow, but we see the effect. […]
